Database Search Tips
- Enter part of a word or phrase, instead of the complete word. Example: Enter "food pan", rather than "food pantry". By doing this, you will ensure that you'll get results, regardless of whether the keyword is "food pantry" or "food pantries".
- Enter part of an Agency's or Program's Name, rather than the full name. This increases your likelihood of a match, since the legal name of an agency or program may differ from the name that you know.
- Try using the Search Option "Partial Word," instead of "All Words" or "Exact Phrase." The "Partial Word" Search Option generally returns a greater number of matches. This option is equivalent to a wildcard search.
- Check your spelling. If you are uncertain of the correct spelling, it's better to enter only the part of the word that you are sure about, and then do a "Partial Word" search (see tip above).
